This is the nicest set of Coles Beretta wood that I never really got to shoot. Maybe someone can fix it and use it. I'm ready to move on. I paid a premium for this wood on a 682 sporter that I purchased a few years ago. Within the first few times out the stock developed a couple cracks up top near the safety selector. I sent it off and had the repair done and the stock bedded. I only was able to shoot it 2 more times before some cracks then developed through the bottom side. As I was removing the stock from the receiver these cracks were where the stock broke in two.

This stock set is special for the 682 in that the grip is FULL like the DT10/11 with a Medium/Large palm swell. I have never really seen another 682 stock like it. The comb is the same height as Coles International Trap stocks. Slightly higher than a standard sporting stock. The LOP is 14.5 over the Kickeeze pad with the trigger in the rear position so it could be extended to about 14.75 if you moved the trigger all the way forward.

The forearm of this set is in perfect condition and includes rosettes.

$250 shipped is like paying for a premium forearm and getting the stock for free. I will include the stock bolt as well.

    Anyone want a project?

I’ve never seen a stock break like that, sure you didn’t back your truck over it? If you got it from Coles I’m sure they will help you out.

I do need a chunk of wood for a comb project and that stock might work.

I purchased second hand. I am liquidating my Beretta 68x stock and wouldn't have a use for it if I had it fixed. I paid a $1500 premium for this stock set. I am starting to believe that Coles made a mistake in wood selection. It is beautiful but seems that the grain is running the wrong direction through the neck. I am not a stockfitter and am speculating. The forearm is very fine in its own right.
