The last 3 years, the ATA E.D. has been paid $517,150.

    2016 $194,495
    2015 $183,307
    2014 $139,348
    Total $517,150

Over $50,000 more in 2016 than in 2014.

    I report. You decide.

And you guys wondered what he meant when he said it was going in a fantastic direction.

They want to pay him something, it should be $20.00 for every person that actually shoots the GAH event.

    $20 x 1745

At 2016 number it figures to over over four thousand dollars per week. Just what does he do to deserve that kind of compensation? There is probably an expense account going over and above that as well that covers his travel to show his face every once in awhile. Main mission, keep in the shadows and tell them only what they want to hear. Sound close to the truth?

If I was the E.D. of an international organization I would expect that much compensation.

The ED's annual compensation is interesting, however I believe of greater importance would be the provisions and/or stipulations of the five (5) year employment agreement executed between the EC & ED upon employment of the ED pursuant to Article V, Sec.4(b) of the ATA By-laws. I would presume said agreement would address all compensation provisions, additional benefits and possibly even obligations due of the corporation (ATA) subject to post employment or termination. Does this agreement require review and aporoval by the BOD in accordance with Article IV, Sec.3(b) or is this yet another delegated authority left to the discretion of the EC? Has any member of the BOD even seen this agreement? Or better yet is the agreement available for review by the general membership?

So, what is fair compensation for this position?

I know of at least 20 honest people more than qualified that would have been proud to do the job for free. The ATA is a non-profit?

How much do you think a position like that should pay? That is no more than a manager in some corporation would get paid. I highly doubt if anyone would "do the job for free" unless they were retired and/or extremely rich. Then if that was the case why would they put up with everyone's BS.

It is nice outside, and the Trolls prefer to stay inside and play in cyber-land .....

If the "position" is to perform perverted sexual acts on "his" employers, I can't speak about "him" being correctly paid ..... But, I can say someone with the "Corporate job performance" of "Gipson" would be fired, not given more and more pay to sink the ship .....

I suspect that sooner or later, the once great "ATA" will pay the price for being a tax shelter for a hedge fund .....

User 1, I'm waiting for a Winston chart to show how the pay has went up as the attendance at the grand and participation of clubs and shooters has down down. If not a chart at least a graph. Brad

You must forgive them Win 101, they are easily upset with any discussion regarding ED as most suffer from the condition.

    Win101 & trappermike,

Who do you think should be blamed for the demise of the trap shooting agenda? We have lost thousands of members, the game is now loaded for the top few shooters, and we have no say in how the ATA is being run. Our delegates are puppets at best many do not have a clue as to what they were elected to do. Many do not even care.
Our leaders are either incompetent, or worse a couple of bricks shy of a full load. They operate under a cloud of not being trusted with the operations of our organization. They seem to feel that they know what we want or need and the hell with the input of the members at large. An uninformed membership is the road to ruin for any organization. Roger C.

101 gets an allowance but he knows everything about what charities should pay their leaders. He will have more cred when he has his own internet account.

    Simmer down Win101 .....

    Number of "ATA" singles targets in 2014 - 0, 2015 - 0, 2016 - 0, 2017 - 300 .....

Number of "ATA" handicap targets in 2008 through 2017 ..... 0 - zero, none .....

Does that look like an "expert" on everything "ATA" ?????

57 and have my own internet toooo!
I also get paid for my performance.

Gipson is no different than anyone else.
You take your money when you get the chance.

I'm sure there's no one and I mean no one on this forum that has turned down money for there job when offered.

No one says," Oh no, boss. That's too much. In fact why don't you pay me less. I'll even work harder for you."

    Give me a fricking break.
Sounds more like jealousy to me.

That or everybody's pissed someone from Ohio didn't get the job.
