I have always favored using full choke tubes, I like the hotter cores some of them have, through my testing I have found that the Caesar Guerini tubes to provide the best Full choke patterns for my use. A lot of fellow shooters choose the Improved Modified. My buddy shooting I want the tightest patterns I can get. I pattern my guns at 35 yards as that is the normal target breaking distance shooting from the 27 yard line for me. I have not patterned the Blaser F3 I just purchased yet, as I have not received it back from Blaser USA having the triggers updated, + I purcheased a set of Double Release triggers I am having installed. Any questions?

You break your targets 8 yards from the trap?

I think it was Leo who said "Any choke is good for trap as long as it is full, full, or full."

A full choke seems to work well in my Model 12. I have heard it referred to as a "hot core Pattern".

I have a full choke M-12 that just smokes singles with my 7/8oz load of 8 1/2`s. Everyone wants to buy it. NO

Full choke , no doubt about it, 1 oz. of 8's works like a charm.

What's stamped on a choke doesn't necessarily mean exactly what it implies. I have an Imp-Mod that's tighter than most full chokes both in numbers and pattern percentages.

    Hap, how true~~

Both ID bores on my Browning Citori measure 0.743 which actually make the modified 0.723 or -.023) and the Imp. Mod 0.728 (-.028) restriction.

There are several restrictions for each choke size it appears. I say stuff one in the barrel you are confident in and leave it and shoot it and get used to it.

I use IM's in both my 90T HPAR and my Infinity. They are true IM's per my bore gauge,

You either have exceptional reflexes or are talking about the first shot of doubles.
I used to watch experienced, good trapshooters break targets from a safe position immediately alongside of the trap field. They broke their birds out a lot further than what one would think. 90% of them were broken at least 12 yards out of the house. A target broken 8 yards out would have garnered a "man, he's a quick shooter...." comment.
A target broken 8 yards out would be a 24 yard break for the singles shooter. That's not even an IC choke distance, that's a Skeet choke shot. And you guys advocate Full??? It's amazing how well a Modified choke smokes a singles target.
