I previously posted that there were trolleys missing according to ATA and IDNR officials. Not surprising tho is that a few on the site decided to do their own physical inventory. To that we can give atta boys?

This report was questioned. I only give the facts. The troops in the trenches more than got this one right! One or two members said they saw for themselves 8 trolleys. One person even took the picture of "the eight."

OOOPS!!!! There are supposed to be 12 trolleys. Past records show 12 went to the WSRC and the physical inventory conducted by the site members says there are 8.

An IDNR official says all are accounted for. hmmmm

    I report. You decide.

If I recall, the manufacturer of the trolleys and location of manufacture was painted somewhere on the equipment.

I do not believe it said Texas as place of manufacture as reported earlier.

My info was they were made by Neil Crausbay in Texas. He donated them to the ATA and hauled them up for them. Roger C.

Roger, I believe your info may be incorrect.

My understanding from conversations had at Vandalia is that the trolleys were purchased.

I absolutely remember the Manufacturer and location were painted on the trolleys, I just cannot remember that name and location but it wasn't Texas.

Maybe if someone can take a look at one where they are parked they can report back and let us know.

If they were purchased there should be a record of when and from who. Maybe History Buff can help us out here. Roger C.

Records, yeah right ..? If things as big as trolleys and other things of value can walk away, I'm sure records could of mistakenly been misplaced, destroyed, lost in a flood, erased, or sent to The Clinton Foundation for disposal ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Someone tell me how you misplace 4 items the size of a bus. I got time. Story should be good.

Yep, now I remember. I am pretty sure that manufacturer is painted on every one of the trolleys.

Thanks for clearing that up N1H1.

If the ATA transferred ownership to the IDNR. They can do as they please with them unless there was an agreement in writing about their future uses. There are a lot of more important things than those trolleys that needs explaining. Most have nothing to do with the IDNR. Roger C.

May I provide an answer to Roger C's statement and also add some new information to help us all stay confused.

The IDNR can do as they please with the Apache trolleys, however, the lease agreement between the ATA and IDNR mandates that the trolleys are to be placed on the firing line during every annual the Grand American Handicap tournament. The IDNR must keep the trolleys in good condition and the ATA has final say as to where they are located.

Very true Roger, but regarding the missing WSRC items, it is my understanding that the IDNR's Department of Law Enforcement is diligently searching for records relating to the theft reports at the Complex.

N1H1, I've been informed that the acquisition date for the donated Apache trolleys is September 8, 2008. Would you have or can you obtain any information as to how many trolleys the ATA donated to the IDNR?

As the OP states - MORE CONFUSION / Numbers not adding up

I'm told the inventory lists for the past three years shows 12 Apache trolleys even though one of our posters recently photographed 8. I know the WSRC Executive Director has stated that all trolleys are accounted for but did not divulge the total trolley inventory. However, there remains an apparent discrepancy as to the actual number of trolleys the WSRC should have on site.

IDNR documents state there were 20 Apache trolleys donated from the ATA on 9/8/2008 and all were assigned sequential Asset ID numbers. The ATA certainly knows how many they donated and it was a very sizable donation at $4500 per trolley. Other documents show 2 additional Apache trolleys with newer Asset ID numbers but with the same acquisition date.

So, the number of Apache trolleys that are supposed to be at the WSRC is somewhere between 8 and 22.

That's all I have on this subject.

HB, if you can misplace a few thousand shooters and hundreds of campers over the years what's a dozen or so $4500 trailers. It must have been a one trap one trailer deal. Brad

Brad, Do you mean everyone that received a free trap machine also received A TROLLY? That would account for 8 of the trolleys. THE PLOT GETS DEEPER. Roger C.

Bill, A friend of mine just e-mailed me about a very interesting poll that ran in the inner city of Chicago. They ask the citizens if they ever had sex in the shower, 86% said they had enjoyable sex in a shower, 16% responded they have never been in prison. Very interesting. Roger C.
