Strategery the SCTP and Cardinal Center

No official word from the SCTP home office and not much chatter from the Cardinal Center? Is it just me or is there some strategery going on with the "non"- announcement of the reported three year deal?

What is behind the curtain?

 

Is the SCTP having second thoughts?

 

I have to admit it has me very worried. I'm all in for Nationals being at Cardinal Center (Hotels, Travel, etc.). If it were to move back to Sparta at this point we would most likely be out. This coming from someone who has attended every year since 2010.

They have to realize that it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to plan a trip for 15-20 athletes and their families.

 

The SCTP, will have to live with what ever decision they make. I hope it works out for the sport. Roger C.

 

The SCTP deserves something that can be put on schedule at a place they know for sure will honor their deal, can't imagine what would be in question at the Cardinal Center, but they do know from past practices what to expect or maybe not expect at the WSRC ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Yeah......must just be me. Ironic huh?

Also ironic that the deal isn't signed despite being crapped on by Illinois.

 

The deal is a done deal.

 

Having not been involved in ATA shooting for a while, I'll ask. Has the WSRC cancelled scheduled events being held by other organizations in the past?

The State of Illinois shuttered the WSRC without regard to anything or any one who had scheduled an event after the grand American last year ... The folks in Sparta didn't have a place to hold their annual demo derby or fishin contest once the place got closed, so business got brisk at WalMart and for that we thank ya all ... The WSRC costs the State or someone big money every time they attempt to host an event there, the sponsors obviously absorbed the lack of generated income this last grand or the ATA did, someone paid big time ... They used to say "Build it and they will come", which turned out to be false ... There were many people who had intentions of attending who told others to not come and see if they are or will be missed, they didn't and they were missed dearly ...
The State of Illinois has not had any improvement in the generated income so the budget deficit continues to grow, the State will no doubt continue to separate itself from the WSRC and any and all financial obligations attached to it ... The ATA ED, EC, and many of the BOD and CHC act like the WSRC is the only place capable of hosting the grand which is not close to being accurate , if the attendance drops much more it won't be worth having ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
