Hang in there Brad Dysinger!

Brad is undergoing surgery to have a stent put in. Last report is that his heart is in good condition. More later.

 

WOW, he will be in our prayers ... I been there and done that, besides open heart surgery, makes a big difference no more fatty food for you ... What brought it on, if you know ..? WPT ... (YAC) ...

Ann says Brad is doing fine and recovering. I think he is a bit grouchy.

 

Great news, hope he is back to his OLD HAS BEEN self soon.

 

3 to 1 he will touch 2 nurses today, complain about the food, and say I told you so if someone mentions the latest Sparta debacle.

 

Some Doctor digging up into your chest cavity with a roto rooter to clear a blocked artery would be a good reason to be at least a little grouchy ... Glad he is on the mend ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

If anything needs a stent it is sparta

Just received a call from Brad. He said he called to say "I am still kicking." In a raspy voice he said he had 5 by passes.

 

Bypasses , did they do open heart surgery ..? Not sure an angioplasty and stents are considered to be a by pass ... I have had stents and by passes (4 of them ), the by passes were when they did open heart surgery and also did a Maize to clean out the sections of my heart that had clots in them ... Stents are a piece of cake compared to by passes and open heart surgery, though not saying they can't be dangerous also if they get to agressive and damage the artery ... WOW, glad he's doing better ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I visited Brad in the hospital yesterday. He is doing very good but understandably sore. Since Brad already mentioned the 5 bypasses I thought I would chime in and let everyone know that he did in fact have bypass surgery. I wasn't aware that a quintuple bypass was possible so I looked it up. Crazy! Everything went perfect with operation and Brad should be better than new in a few months. He told me that since he has had a brain aneurysm and heart surgery, he feels he is the only trapshooter that actually has medical proof that he has a heart and a brain! Quintessential Dysinger!

 

Tell Brad he's in our prayers. The chest tubes were the worst part for me other than the drug interactions. Remid him to use that pillow when he has to cough but after the first time without it he'll catch on fast. Also do the Cardic Rehab Program, very helpful. Take Care Brad.

 

The guys up at Williams County gun club told me about his 5 way on Sunday. Good luck Brad. Been there also with a 4 way, seems you always did beat me.

 

Brad take advantage of the Cardiac rehab, I didn't and it makes recovering a lot harder and takes a lot longer ... It's really amazing what they can do today , all the best ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Update on Brad......walking around today and tuckered out.

Brad called very early in the a.m. to say he is up and about (docs orders) but still in pain and has more energy. Five minutes later he started to fall asleep on the phone. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

 

Tell him not to let the family pet (if he has one) to jump on his chest when he's in his favorite recliner or laying down. I went through that with my dog and cat. They will get your attention right now. Not sure how young Brad is, but at 65 with 3 prior MIs, stents then the Quad bypass. A persons energy comes at a Premium, at least mine does. Never took naps till that last one. But it does get better.

 

Brad called early today to say he was up and moving. At home now but said not everything was moving. Whatever that means...

Let yourself heal, rest but do as much walking as you can (good exercise) the Cardiac rehab will work you good but its worth it ... I told my Doctor, had I known all of the ramifications I might not of done it (wouldn't be here ) but I had a really bad recovery and a decubitus (?) ulcer on me butt that almost killed me besides the open heart surgery ... That mean't another surgery to cut that out, and it took longer to recover from that than the heart surgery ... They put a mechanical valve in my heart, wore the other one out and waited 2 days before going to the Doctors (not a good idea) ... Take good care, you are in our prayers ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

Brad said he has walking around the farm and is doing much better.

 

I just got off the Phone w/Brad and he says all is going well, I will say this he is still full of Piss and Vinegar, he says he had faith in his surgeon and Ann spent the nights w/ his surgeons wife while he was in hospital, you would not believe how many of us Oldtimers were concerned about brad, Dan Bonillas at Perazzi asked me about him, and hopes all went well and for him to get back to 100%, a person cannot ask for any more than that, Nice talking to you Brad and Ann, we all want the absolute best for the both of you.

Brad was really impressed with the SCTP kids, and I cannot say enough about how proud he is of those kids, He's like all of their Grandpas put into one, to say the least. That is fantastic coming from me. God Bless you and Ann

I am over 140 miles from Brads place and here in Athens I run into his neighbor at Albany Café having breakfast with a Grouse shooter, He heard I was a Trapshooter and wondered if I knew Brad Dysinger, I said yes, I have known him since 1968, and that he is an All American in the Trapshooting HOF and owns Thornbottom Hunting Preserve.
