I have recently been gifted approx 20k winchester AA old style compression formed one piece hulls.....that have been in an outside storage shed, in old target boxes(clays), full of spiders, mice, and bugs.
They are not brittle, deprime easily, crimp fine, but they need a cleaning. I'm looking for ideas to clean them say 500 at a time.
Was thinking about buying a concrete mixer and tumbling with some type of media.....any thoughts?????

I recommend the cheapest Harbor Freight cement mixer and a leaf blower. If it doesn't help, just return it!

If you add in the cost of a cement mixer, what would the cost of each hull be ? I just sold 3k of old "AA"s 12 gauge hulls to "justanother99" realizing after storing for years I probably wasn't going to use them. If I didn't many bags of cheap shot I wouldn't reload 12ga or 20ga at all.
