Help with TMX

Can someone please help me date this Perazzi it’s a TMX special the serial number is PU92228

There are a lot of knowledgeable members on this site I am sure someone can answer it for you.
It might help if you have a pic of the bottom of the mono block.

Are you sure about those numbers? 5 digits?

 

TMX was from 1981 onwards

 

Look at the bottom of the barrel under the chamber. You will find two letters inside a small box. It might something like AK. You can do a search and find the year.

 

If the serial number on the barrel matches the action/receiver, look for a small rectangle on the bottom of the monoblock with two letters. Then consult a chart of Italian Proof Dates or just post the letters here and someone will tell you what year the barrel and matching receiver were completed. -Ed

 

Magnett and cl3 are correct. TMX is the later and last model of the TM series, with high rib. TMX began in 1981. The date of manufacture will be per two small letters. Post some pics of the markings. We can do the rest.

cl3 has it right look for the box with the 2 letters in it. Then get a blue book and in the back, they have a serial # section.
