Now that Dove season is in, we trapshooters use it for excellent practice and it is not an Off Topic thread Gary Bryant..............Dr.longshot
We used to shoot what everyone called a "Dove Shoot" for jackpots ... You need 3 traps side by side, start on post 5/16 yards on the trap to the left of the (#1) then when you hit a target you go back to post 5/ 27 yards on trap #1, then move to trap #2, low gun all 5 posts from 27 yards, then off to trap #3, post 1 / 27 yds, then post 1 /16 yds on trap #3, then post 2/ 27 yds on trap #3, and so on until you are out of shells ... Who ever gets the farthest is the winner ... You stay on a post until you hit a target, then move ... Gets pretty interesting real fast ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
I was speaking of REAL DOVES they are a challenge at times, and what our forefathers shot trap for practice on Game Birds Doves/Pheasants/ Snipe etc.
On the shooters call but can be a delay up to 3 seconds (?) , its fly's it dies or its lost ... Its actually very challenging, had as many as 15 /20 people shooting it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
