Can I ask why you decided on .25 choke. I’ve had several Seitz guns, and never had one under .32 from factory. Certainly not criticizing the gun, just asking.

 

Actually, it came with a .032. Pattern was very nice but unnecessarily tight for 16 yards. My handicap was at 23 and still found the pattern tighter than necessary. Talked to some of the real BIG DOGS and the concensus was .025". So, I had Sietz bore it out a few thousandths. The results were very, very good with a more even distribution of pellets in a 30" at 33 yards. Gained a couple at singles AND handicap.
MY OVERALL THOUGHT PROCESS WAS GIVE IT A SHOT...if I did not see the results I was expecting, my next stop would be to send the barrel to Wilkinson and have chokes installed and the barrel reworked to my specifications. Fortunately it worked like a charm! Beautiful pattern!

What is the POI with the rib that’s on this?

 

#2 Adjustable Rib Adjustments (3/4” high in back)

1-All the way up in front and all the way down in back=80/20

2-2nd notch down in front ,2nd notch up in back=90/10

3-3rd notch down in front,3rd notch up in back=100%

4-4th notch down in front,4th notch up in back=110%

 

I’ve owned 4 Silver Seitz guns and 2 of them had Wilkinson choketubes, I put the .25 in and never changed it from 16 to 27. I’m no great shooter but that was the perfect choke for me!!

 

I am % in agreement. We mostly have the tendency to "over choke". If one of the best shooters in the world says it's good then, it's good!
