Motel Close to Sparta

    Recommendations for a motel close to Sparta? Looking to go for a day or two?

    FWIW ... The first trip I made we stayed in the Super 8 in Belleville, next trip we stayed in a house that the Owner rented for the Grand ... and IF I go back I would rent an RV to stay on the grounds.

    A Motel/Hotel is a prime target for thieves, there is NO good place for your equipment while you eat ... and dragging everything through a Motel/Hotel at least twice a day is OK, but not fun.

    I would recommend, after two trips, to spend the money on renting an RV ... for me it would make the trip better. It would also give you a cool place to rest while you are not shooting and that should make your scores better.

    Good luck ... not many good options, but the Super 8 was clean and worth the drive if you can not get a room at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sparta.

    Closest for me was St Louis Motel 6. Too far. Will shoot at the CC.

    There are always lots of rooms in Fairview Heights.
    That will be a 45 minute commute.
