I had requested a quote from Jorgenson steel for 24 feet of 1/4 X 3/8 C1018. The total order would weigh 8 pounds. They quoted $272.00 What is happening to American business. Roger C. ( should have gone to off to topic form)

    Roger,
Uncle Joe and the democraps are going to do as much destruction as they possibly can while they are in charge, their hate for America and the people of America runs deep to the point they do not use logic or common sense in what they do ... I sense a Major up rising in the near future because people are getting to the point of having enough ... I hope for the sake of future generations this happens soon rather than later ... There was a time this would of never happened so hope there is a means to change or reverse it some time soon ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Our money is worth nothing now. I was wanting to run a 50 amp wire to my back yard to put in a service. 125 ft. of 6-3 wire was quoted to me of being over $500. WTF????? That was just the GD wire - HD website. WTF?

I was in Costco the other day. I got behind a young woman (maybe 25-30) in the cashier line. Her cart was full, but I didn't see any electronics or wine/alcohol in her cart. I was guessmating what her bill would come up to? Her bill without ANY electronics or booze - just effing food - came up to $637.00. I wanted to slap her because she didn't bat an eye. I don't think I spent $637 an effing year on groceries when I was her age. I was grateful that she paid with a credit card because if she paid with paper (real money) we would still be there counting out the money.

I used to be an electrical contractor, can't imagine what a 200 Amp service upgrade would cost today, with new special breakers, etc & the cost of wire as mentioned above--$4000.00 is my guess & its just a guess

in the good ole days, the of usa had price freezing. remember? it was designed to allow people spend what money they had. usa was way behind the rest of the world...making us a very desirable place to live. ya know, 2 cars in the garage and a chicken in every pot? and whammo...the baby boomers came about. why not? it was cheap to have kids. work was plentiful, things were looking up.
    but..........
every economist knew the truth, you can only hold back the flood waters so long.
many presidents were blamed for price increasing, when in truth, all they were doing was allowing some of the pressure of the hidden inflation to trickle out.
then, around the 70's, the dam broke. it started with gas and oil.
then little by little, everything started jumping.
if you watch all trends, since the socialsts have taken over, we are starting to match the inflation and sky high costs of business equal to the other countries. they are smashing the dam, causing us to fail and be equal to the rest. that is what socialism is. the destruction of free will, forcing people to rely on govt for everything, not individuals.
unless we as a nation get rid of these socialsts, communism will be next.
goods and services will be what we will war over next, not land or nations.
an empty stomach is what allowed newly arriving immigrants to easily join the army to fight in the war with the south. a promise for 3 hots and cott is all it took.
600 dollars for groceries? 200 for a piece of steel? we aren't far behind.
the good book even says in the last days a mans wage will be needed to buy a loaf of bread. heads up. the author knew his stuff.

Make sure you do a lot of stretching, so you can bend over and kiss you ass good-bye. If we do not kick these socialists out of our government this time it is all over for the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. Roger C.

I’ve been restoring my Dads 67 Impala he bought new.
I’ve just about got it roadworthy but the price of body supplies and paint has gone thru the roof.

A fellow car enthusiast bought paint, solvents, etc for his 79 Firebird ….4000. Whoa.
At that rate I may not live long enough to finish it.

    Regards…….Gerald
