If the ATA is negotiating to have the grounds open for just a couple weeks then aren't we throwing the Skeeters, SCTP, and Cowboy Shooters under the bus?

Does anyone know EXACTLY for sure what is being negotiated by the ATA?

The ATA represents the ATA not to be confused with the SCTP which is not an organization that shoots registered targets.

So now, you want the ATA to negotiate on the behalf of all the other disciplines?

Wrong! not only do they shoot registered targets, the SCTP requires all of their competitive Trap shooters to be members of the ATA. The SCTP is responsible for thousands of new ATA members!!!

Trap wife isn't talking, I think she is the leader of the KADA (kool aid drinkers association) and does respond when you try to contact her for some DVD's if you are banned or on Double Secret Probation ... This might be a God send or a blessing in some ways ... The KADA members are "Special". they were told this by their parents as they were growing up ... Kind of like no matter how ugly a kid is, people never tell the parents "Wow, what an UGLY KID, they always say oh how cute " so they don't hurt the parents feelings ... The parents know the kid is UGLY, they have eyes ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Wasn't it N1H1 that implied the only decisions the leaders of the ATA should be concerned with are what is best for the corporation. I also believe he implied he knows these people and professed to know how they would vote.

    So what is the surprise?

IF and I say IF the ATA is negotiating with the State of Illinois to have the WSRC open for the Grand in August how would this be perceived as throwing Skeet and Sporting Clays under the bus as the AtA has nothing to do with either sport. As far as I know there has never been a major Skeet event at the WSRC only practice in any at all. Sporting Clays are independent from the ATA and both courses operated by the WSRC.

Does anyone believe that any state union would allow a non union, private, 501 c.3 to operate and event on state property without picketing the event. A government, union especially from Illinois, will never allow this to happen. Just more smoke coming out of the EC and be blown up the members backside.

Just the logistics of opening for 3 weeks is daunting, but if it did happen does anyone here think that the ATA EC gives a crap about any other shotgun organization when they give a shit less about their own members wishes. Get it through your heads the end is near. Brad

One has nothing to do with the other whatsoever. Not even close.

It makes a difference if they are using non-union labor. :(

The SCTP would strongly disagree with you.

I am sure the CC would be happy to build skeet fields. Already it has been reported they are building another clays course. If you said we needed goal posts they would put those in too.

Was under the impression the sctp collegiate championship had shooters that were not ata members.

    tarpmaker,
Why would the SCTP disagree with my statement that the ATA has nothing to do with Skeet or Sporting Clays. Maybe you know something that no one else knows, please enlighten us.

Maybe some slipped through the cracks but according to the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Handbook Rules, Process & Regulations they all should have been. I know that the targets we shot in July at Sparta were all registered.

It appears only those SCTP events that are sanctioned by the NGB are registered. Looking at the 2015 National Collegiate scores it appears there were many non ATA contestants and the scores of the ATA members I looked at are not posted yet with the ATA.

It appears not all SCTP state shoots are sanctioned by the discipline NGB.

It is also hard to connect what is, and what is not, when using the score reporting, at least the online depiction of scores by the SCTP is very erratic at best. An easy way of saying not all State shoots are registered with the ATA though in writing it appears, "all State Trap Championships must be registered targets", as stated in the MOU.
