To the best of my knowledge yes. If anyone has some or knows where to get it let us know.

I have a 25 # keg but I think I'm going to hold on to it for now.

Just asking, but why do you like it so much. I used it and it shot...........but my go to powder is Promo and Green Dot. I clean my gun every time I shoot and have found those two powders to deliver all I need. Plus, they're relatively cheaper than most.

Called 'Accurate' 3-4 months ago. They said last 2 batches failed to pass Standards. At that time, they said it would be another 6 mos. before they would test new batch. Like it because of consistent results in 7/8-1 ounce loads, even dabbled with 3/4 ounce. Guy at Glen Park Ind. club ran 100 in Registered shoot with 3/4 ounce. Don't know what powder yet, but gonna' find out! All the best, Don P.

That Glen Park guy could probably do that with a 410 too. LOL

I have an older container of Solo 1000...metal top and bottom, cardboard container...still "smells" OK. Original manufacturer was Scott Powders. Back in the day it was proclaimed to be a cleaner burning powder as opposed to the likes of Red Dot. A lot of people in this area used it for 16yd singles. It also could be used for certain handgun cartridges.

Solo 1000 was the best powder I have ever loaded. Clean, Fast, Low Recoil. Loaded it for 20 years. Also very consistent with temperature swings. I have been calling and checking on it for the last 5 or 6 years. Always get the same story. "did not pass our tests" Factory has been working on consistency. Bull !!! they sell it in bulk to the shot shell makers for a better profit.

At one point they said there was "tagging" in the powder & could not put it out. I had some with said tagging, and it looked like some tiny pieces of tooth floss, black like the powder, but not flakes. It loaded & shot just fine. Would be glad to get more even with said tagging.

For a while the factory was talking about bringing in the same powder under a different name to avoid naming rights in the US. Hope they follow through on this while I can still shoot. In the mean time, I have been shooting green dot in my Remington Hulls, and Clay Dot in the Feds. Have been loading Fiochi primers for about 20 years.
They are cheaper, and have yet to have a miss fire in probably 100,000 rounds.

It was comparable to PB, but much cheaper & cleaner.

Solo 1000 was touted as being produced using Gun cotton opposed to nitrocellulose. As far as I know it was the first single based powder available in the US. Even now there are no single base powders produced in the US..

For a long time it was the best. I had a keg of the real bad stuff, with 18.5 grains loads were going about 1000 fps. or slower. I reported it to them before the big recall but they said mine was not in the bad lot numbers. They changed countries a few times, tried to deal a boatload of the bad batch to the USA. It got to where you could not trust the quality and how much to use.
