Executive Director Gipson noted how much the ATA could be saving in the future with prison labor.

I am not making this up. I have seen this in writing.

Should the millionaires involved with the ATA be using prison labor?

From some of the deals they made I would say they already are.

I guess the ATA officials want to feel right at home with the rest of the help. The only difference is some have been caught some have not. I wonder if this fits in with the fantastic direction the shoots have been taking.
I know, this is their new business plan. Hip-Hip hurray. can you imagine what we would get if the pay was higher.

Will they be building Gipson a swimming pool too?

Maybe they will pick up the shot by hand. Great direction. When the were passing out brains, our leaders, must have thought they said trains, so they opted for a slow one. They do excel at one thing, but I will let you all guess at what it is. Roger C.

I work construction and while doing several projects in Southern Illinois over the years in realatively small towns I noticed them using prison labor to chop weeds and clear brush.
I surmised the towns probably didn't have the funds to actually hire out the work.

If the state of Illinois used them at the WSRC, to me, is their prerogative, but for Gipson to
request prison labor on the WSRC grounds for the ATA's interest, then I disagree.

Actually, I have seen prisoners working on the grounds of the WSRC already. They had a small group of maybe 10 that were picking up trash & etc on the main parking area behind the vendor buildings. The facility had no events in progress at this time so they weren't exactly working hard but they were there.

I can't imagine the EC hiring their own competition, now it will be a race between the EC and the prisoners on who can pick the pockets of the shooters first.

Some of the EC and X-EC members, applied for the jobs. the law should grant them the right. OH, I forgot there must be a investigation first. Dang, I was hoping for some ineffecient cheap help. Roger C.

With four out of the last nine Illinois Governors ending up in Prison -- You would have a lot to pick from --- Several of them are probably responsible for voting for the facility to begin with.

It is the least the ATA could do -- It was governor Rod Blagojevich that cut the ribbon back in 2006 for the grand opening of the Sparta facility -- Don't we owe him a few days out to cut the grass?

Trust seems to be in very short supply where to ATA is involved. Does any one know of any reason for this? Roger C.
