Since I'm now 75 and I decided to try and save my old body from as much punishment it can receive from 12 ga target ammo--I dug out my old DeVault 391 conversion & low & behold the gun is way more comfortable than my Infinity & I'm able to still vaporize targets with it-What a shame should have stuck with this gun in the first place-could of -would of--won a lot of bling with it a while ago & would have saved a lot of $$$

Haha, like most of us, we thought we needed a fancier gun to make us a better shooter.
After I shot a loaner gun with recoil device in the stock, I told myself what kind of idiot was I never thought about this.

I don't care if some tough minded guys think I'm too soft to take a real recoil, it's my shoulder and my body, I'm smarter than abusing it.

The Nature of the beast (Trap Shooters in general ) is to buy guns, not always because we think it will make us a better shooter, but because we liked, needed or had to have it ... I started shooting back in 1974/75, shot any and all models, makes, different guns, chokes over the years (was a FFL) all the while knowing full well the gun I started (1100 TB or TC ?) with was actually just fine ... I got into Model 12's, starting collecting them and ended up liking them the most, shot one to the 27 yard line, should of kept shooting it but NOOOO, had to have that K32 Combo, Kolar combo (for one day), TM-1, TMX, Perazzi Combo set, then another one ( got it for sale), Kreighoff's, Beretta's, and on and on ... Why have one gun safe when there is room for more then one ..? I laid off shooting for a few years and used the money to build a 67 Plymouth Belvedere 1 with a Hemi in it to take to car shows ... Test drove a Challenger (new generation) that was a mistake had to have one, bought it in 2010, got 3036 miles on it after being to Mexico 3 times and many car shows (sits in the garage next to the Plymouth), need a bigger garage I guess ... The wife asked me the other day why I bought that, I didn't really have an answer so I honestly said I don't know but I wanted it ... I got guns up the Kazoo,(6 hand guns I have not shot yet, new in the box) next time I go to shoot some trap going back to my Model 12 and see how that works ... The wife said she would like to have the space where I have the 100 plus flats of shells stacked in the garage for another freezer ... I guess I best get busy working on that ... lol ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

If you pull into a parking lot behind a gun club and the guys are talking about chokes, leads, the speed of targets, and what kind of 4 wheel drive cart to buy, it is a Sporting clays shoot.

If they are talking about small gauge loads, how they just shot behind high house 8 and what small gauge set to buy it is a Skeet shoot

If they are trading and or buying guns you have just come across a Trap shoot.

    I don't how I forgot this one.

If the guys are betting and there is money laying on the ground, the gun rack has high grade makes that you can't pronounce, there is a card game with over $800.00 in the pot, someone has a bottle on the tailgate, and you hear people laughing and hollering at the shooter, you sir have just stumbled, uninvited I might add, into a Flyers shoot.
