Had the family of a deceased trapshooter (gone 19 years) call me and say they are finally getting around to parting ways with their Dad's shotguns and if I could help em determine their worth.

I got to thinking, it's been over 20 years since I purchased a new or used trap gun. Heck I bet it's been than long since I've brought any trap shooting equipment except for disposable ear plugs. LOL I got the same shooting bag, pouch, vest, reloader, etc. that I started with years ago.

Anyway the last trap gun I purchased was sometime back in the early, mid 90s when Browning dumped all those BT-99 pluses on the market at the Grand for $999 thay one year. Anybody remember what year that was? The week before Browning was selling those guns for $1500-$1700, and then discontinued em and sold em for $999 at the Grand that year. I couldn't pass up that deal.

I keep that BT-99 plus for about 6 months then traded it to a guy for a 3200.

That was the last gun I brought, just wondering about you others?

I had ordered a New BT-99 Then Browning reduced the prices, I still bought it for more than that, I was Loyal to my dealer, That dealer sent all his Brownings back for credit

I'm on my 6th shotgun in the last 5 years, 5 of which were Perazzis. Think I finally settled in on a MX10RS....for now.

Anybody have one on those BT 99s they purchased for $999 want to sell it? I've just started back shooting after 40 years off and like to replace the BT 99 had.
    Thanks,

The last time I bought a gun, I bought 7 of them ... One of the guys I was bowling with asked if I still shot trap and would I be interested in another trap gun ... He gave me a list of what he had, I told him I will drive over and check them out, long story short I bought all 7 he had for sale and some people got some really good deals passed on to them ... I missed out on 8 pistols a guy was selling about 2 weeks ago in his garage sale ... Some one else bought all of them for an undisclosed amount of money ... Oh well, next time ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Both very good at answering any question's.

    I highly recommend them.

Hate to admit this, but it was just two weeks ago.

Had six safes for many years, it was a real challenge to remember six combinations and six alarm codes tapped to my home security system, I often stood in front one safe for minutes before I'm sure I won't trigger the alarm, I get to know few of the security monitoring company's representatives really well, we were on first name bases.

Finally got rid of four safes, and something was really stupid on my part, I sold the fourth safe before I sold all the guns in it. :)
And I said to myself, I'll stop buying useless guns.

Well, like all promises from men, that didn't go well.
Two weeks ago I saw this nicely engraved, fancy wooded, over priced (as usual) Italian POS from a nice gentleman, and all promises went to hell.

    I text the seller every time I got a 25 & 50 from it.
I then threatened to send it back two days ago when I missed the 51th bird because of that expensive junk didn't correct my over swing on a straight away from station 3. :)

Today, I sold another useless gun to partially justify my purchase, but it didn't even cover the cost of a trigger group. :-(

This is not a new gun, but I am going back to try & shoot my old DeVault 391 conversion, 2 lbs lighter than my Infinity & less recoil--might keep me in the game till I croak, JC Nunn shot competitively till he passed @96, and he used a Beretta 303

God, I hate to admit how many times I could repeat my old post on this slightly old thread. I wish it would die so I didn't feel so guilty.
