Hi folks. Wondering if you K pros know what this "3" represents stamped on the back of these trunion screws for sale on E-Bay. Perhaps they come different sizes to allow for wear ? Not too sure, & no calling Ottsville till Monday. Thanks.

Krieghoff no longer uses this system. They corrected headspace. Now they prefer to weld and re-cut and re-blue including the lugs. It once was a cheap fix but no longer in vogue.

Thanks. I've also heard of the the "over sized" top latch fix for worn barrel shoulders, guessing that went wayside also.

Yup, that disappeared too. Problems often arose on combo sets where the O/U barrels showed little wear and the Unsingle barrel had significantly more wear from extended use. That required additional filing on the O/U barrel lugs to match the Unsingle. The new procedure is more expensive but much nicer.
