Why, why, why do sick people with the effing flu go to work or out in public? Went to a local Friday night Lenten fish fry at the local church. Had 5 people with me. Got in line to pay when in walked a woman with a surgical mask on and she was coughing, whizzing and hacking. She said she didn't know if she had a cold, flu or what but she was there to support the church. I just turned around and told the people with me - we are leaving, you can come home to eat with me and we'll order a pizza or you can stop by the tavern on the way home and eat there but we ain't staying here with that woman on the effing lose around here.

This morning it was raining cats and dogs and since there was nothing else to do I decided to hit a local fast food place for breakfast that is frequented by some of my fellow trapshooters. Got in line to order and looked back and the effing cook back there was wearing a surgical mask mixing up dough for biscuits. I just turned around and left, maybe the cook wasn't sick but the very fact he was wearing a mask told me something was up and I got the heck out of there.

It's late February and I thought the flu season would be waning but I talked to my sister who is an elementary school teacher and she said as far as attendance this week has been the lowest this year. Almost 20% absent rate. Well no effing wonder with all the infected people walking around coughing, sneezing, hacking. Stay the eff home if you are sick and don't pass it around.

I can see your point but I know a lot of people who wear masks to keep from getting other peoples mix of germs, I have on occasion used one myself as a precaution not because I was sick ... In today's world you can't be to careful ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I have no problem with the mask, but when you are sick and show up anyway in a public space even wearing a mask you are doing nobody any favors. The first woman I talked about was obviously sick and she even said she was sick - she just didn't know if it was the flu or a cold and yet she still showed up. Why didn't she just stay home till she was well?
