Look carefully to see a sight not often seen in southern Arizona at the lower elevations: at least IMHE.

There is a new non-registered event this year for the less than All Americans:

Is the entire event unregistered? Or, just that one handicap event?

My poor attempt at humor, it was. The event is registered. Since the sign said peasant valley; I thought of the less than well known, such as yours truly, having a dedicated event which excluded the upper crust. The event is actually the “Pleasant Valley.” Pleasant Valley is a city/town in Arizona. Tucson is fond of naming their preliminary events after towns in Arizona.

Friday morning before the Championship Doubles. I know snowbirds are used to this at home. However......southern Arizona low desert? Beam me up Scotty.

These gals were not deterred from warming up, pre-event, by a little snow.

Friday’s Preliminary Handicap was called on account of weather.
